Learn to Knit

So you've decided you'd like to learn to knit? Those of us who enjoy the art of knitting find it soothing and relaxing to the body and spirit. But learning how to knit takes some effort. We have an absolute beginner's class where you learn cast-on, knit, bind off, fringe and more.

Learn to Crochet

Crocheting will give you a lifetime of pleasure and relaxation. You can learn to create handmade items for yourself and people you love. Our class will teach how to learn to crochet an Afghan, Hat & Scarf and a Granny Square Blanket and more.

My First Sweater

Learn to knit your first sweater. Make an easy, rolled neck, raglan pullover. We will take you from beginning to end, you will learn how to check your gauge, increase, decrease, pick-up stitches, and sew your sweater together. Also learn about pattern reading, choosing yarns and making it fit.

Kid’s and Teen's class

You will learn to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, and bind off. Learn to knit a Dish Cloth, Hat, Granny Squares, Afghan Squares and more.

Finishing

Learn how to finish your knitting projects like a pro.

Tossed Salad Sweater

 Bring worsted weight yarn from your stash to mix with some new yarns here at the shop. We'll be happy to help you find the perfect ingredients!! A sweater or vest (your choice) will be knit in the round on circular needles. $60 for 4 sessions.

Beaded Bag
June 26th, July 10th and 17th
Old Wethersfield
 Learn how to incorporate beads into your knitting with this adorable little bag using NatureLin, Tofutsie or another sock yarn. $75 includes yarn and beads.

Learn to Knit

One of our staff members will teach you how to cast on and knit in just 1 hour.

Socks
Fridays 11-12noon or 3-4pm

Irma is leading these sock classes. She will show you how to knit socks on either circular or double pointed needles.
